Greetings everyone. I am new to this forum, and am looking at purchasing a dobro from a local individual. I cannot identify the model or year according to the info this gentleman has sent me, so I am looking for your help. I have attached a photo - it is a round neck model that he is claiming dates from 1934, although the condition is really quite nice (astounding) for such an old instrument. The serial number which is stamped on the top of the headstock appears to read 61111. Any help would be appreciated! I am interested in authenticating it, finding the model number, and an approximate value. Thanks!

Mid 1960's Mosrite era. Dobro's "dark period".

I'm too lazy to Google but there are 1966 Mosrite catalogs online. You'll see a picture.
