Hey Folks. I see Tom is soliciting songs/tunes to jam to for the upcoming meeting. Anyone have any thoughts about what they would like to hear, jam to or learn to play.

I was thinking about doing a few songs from my past.

1. High On A Mountain Top - Ola Belle Reed's not Loretta's

2. Hickory Wind - Kind of like Satisfied Mind with other lyrics

3. Midnight Moonlight or some other Peter Rowan song

4. Angeline Baker - with lyrics, mp3, tabs etc.

Ron, I've been researching where Angeline Baker comes from and you are right. It's said to be a parody of Angeline by Stephen Foster, but more PC in the lyrics department these days.

As alternates I could give these a shot:

1. Man of Constant Sorrow - Soggy Bottom version

2. Howlin' At the Moon - Screamin Jimmies or Sam Bush

3. I'll Fly Away

4. White Freightliner

What are others thinking about?

I know most of these aren't really "dobro" tunes but they are good singing songs. I feel like singing. I f you'd like to post about any other topic for the meetings, please do.
