Koa top, maple back/sides/neck. Scheerhorn cone, Schoonover spider, fishman pickup, custom fingerboard with 21 frets and with the end binding marking the location of what would be the 22nd fret.

An interesting combination of tonewoods. Would not have thought of that combination I don't think. Whats your impression of your latest?
Beautiful guitar by the way.

What I wanted was a guitar that combined some of the punch of a maple body with some of the sweetness of koa, and I have to say it worked exceptionally well. This guitar sounds just fantastic, with a beautiful top end shimmer & plenty of punch & volume but no harshness at all, and very even in all registers. I recently had the opportunity to listen to a great player play it, standing back 10 feet the sound really blossoms. Its a real winner, I'd recommend this combination of tonewoods very highly.
