WTB: Original Ron Tipton RT-1 Tone Bar (Chrome/Brass)

Hi everyone,

I am looking to source a secondhand, original Ron Tipton RT-1 chrome-plated brass tone bar to serve as a backup to my current primary bar.

I specifically prefer the 10-degree end bevel and 2.904" length profile of the RT-1 for my hand comfort and maneuverability, so I am not looking for the RT-2, RT-3, or Scheerhorn shapes at this time.

If you have an older, original Tipton RT-1 sitting unused in a gear drawer or case pocket that you would be willing to part with for a reasonable, fair price (retired), please send me a private message with a description of condition, a couple of photos (if convenient) and your asking price shipped to PA 19446. Charlies capo and bars

Just listed a charlies capo and 3 charlies tone bars. Can do better on the price if you buy them all and can ship them together.
All are in great shape, but the capo will need the tubing replaced.

This guitar is great for experimenting with your favorite tunings and playing out while staying true to a truly acoustic experience. It has a Krivo pickup that sounds very authentic via an amplifier. I’ve had it tuned to G-Dobro, Open D, C6th, Open E, etc. The pedal setup can be easily switched. The legs can also be set so you can sit to play it.
I am entertaining offers for it. It will include some extra floor pedals and rods so you can expand it if you want. It comes with the OHSC.
Cosmetically and functionally it is a 9.9. If you are interested please contact me for more pics.

Cover Plates

Does anyone know where you can buy a cover plate and tail piece for resonator guitars, for a spider bridge. Reso outfitters is all but useless anymore they are always out of stock on pretty much everything they claim to sell. And all the ones from Amazon and eBay are just cheap tin and look like the hand rest on them are bent down.
Not looking to spend a fortune, just trying to put together a Reso for the grandson from a body I had, but would like something other than Amazon crap. Thanks!

I will begin with a disclaimer: I am already dobro poor. I have six, plus two lap steels as well as other instruments. Not in the market, but I love to window shop. Reverb, ebay, Elderly.com, Gruhn's guitars and others. All that being said, this is a very good website to browse dobros (resophonic guitars by any name). You have a beard model 47 (with a biscuit bridge). Not everybodies cup of tea, but I have one that I use in D tuning and I love it. Priced way below market (it's a Beard). There's also two Appalachians, a Byrl, and others, all reasonably priced. If you are looking for a quality instrument, they're here. That's my two cents. David

I wonder if I have my Dobro priced drastically higher than it should be.

Over more than a month I've had zero nibbles on my ad with it priced around $1000 (moved down from original price).

That doesn't seem high from what I've seen in the market, bearing in mind that squareneck resonators are a niche area of instruments.

Any comments appreciated!
