This was leading up to "Shady Grove" and we just never got started. You'll hear one of us saying that we're ready when you are after around 6 minutes of jamming. This was completely improvised. I'm playing a very simple riff on the dobro but the other guys are playing some lovely mandolin and acoustic guitar. If you'd like to give us feedback, that would be great. It's a very rough recording and we are not expert musicians but I thought I'd post it up anyway. Be gentle with us! We are playing dobro, 2 acoustic guitars and a mandolin.

Hi Alan, you guys did a great job on your song...all the instruments have a great tone. I learned to play the dobro first back in the early seventies along with the 5-string banjo and after I got out of High School I learned to play the pedal steel guitar. I never did any professional playing its all mostly been a hobby. The dobro I'm using is a Johnson that I bought for about $200.00 and the steel is an MSA Classic. Keep the music going.

Thanks, Dobrochimes55. I'm a great fan of the sound of the pedal steel but you can't carry it around so easily as a dobro!
