I’ve inherited a Scheerhorn capo. Not the Flux capo, not the Scheerhorn/Flux capo, just a Scheerhorn capo (the newest one?). There is no engraving on either side, only on the top: "Scheerhorn". The blackish tubing is corroding. Where can I obtain replacement tubing? Or, what is the brand/model number, material spec or whatever for the tubing?
(I am not looking for recommendations that I buy your favorite capo, which is the best that has ever been, please.)

I would take your capo to Canadian Tire or Home Depot—-either should have spools of different tubings, and I’ll bet you’ll find one that will work. Here in the States, most Ace Hardware stores have a good selection.

I went to a local Autoparts store and asked for a foot of gas line tubing. The counterman laughed and gave it to me.

Good recommendation. I'll do that.

Thank you for the "thrifty" tip.

I just obtained a piece of this from Tim Scheerhorn himself. If you send me your address, I will send it to you.

Thank you, Stephen, but I'm in Canada, and I believe I've found the Home Depot fit.

Sorry for the late conclusion. We have an outlet in Canada called Princess Auto. I bought their "Green Line" fuel line in both 3/16" and 1/4" lengths. The 1/4" was too large. The 3/16" looked to be identical to the sleeve that was already on the capo but was an EXTREMELY tight fit. I heated the fuel line under a 150 watt incandescent light bulb and laboriously pulled the line slowly onto the capo using pliers while holding the brass capo with a wash cloth for insulating my hand from the heat. From the operating temperature specifications I was sure the heat I was using would be all right. Now, in performance, the capo works well. I like the sound and stability better than with my LENO capo. The mass of the Scheerhorn helps with the stability.
