Rick Manning and I will be teaching a Learn to Jam class from 10 to 4 PM on February 28th. We are Wernick certified instructors and the class is geared to beginning and intermediate jammers who want to learn more about jamming in a safe and fun atmosphere. Here is a link that describes the class and how to sign up: wernickmethod.org/event/pf-rm-...02-ithaca. Hope to see some of you pickers!!

I'm a volunteer Wernick coach here in Maryland and I just love this program. The progress I see over time is simply amazing.

I enthusiastically endorse the Wernick method with its certified instructors.

Okay, I was wondering about the "safe" atmosphere of the event.

This is after all a Pete Wernick certified jam - so is there is a maximum number of banjos allowed in order to keep it "safe?" wink

These are jam classes, teaching the foundation of bluegrass rhythm, soloing, backup, harmony, jam etiquette and more.

We have 22 players in my current session. They are split into 3 groups, with coaches for each group. The Wernick certified instructor mixes up the groups every 45 min or so.

It's a terrific program. I am pleased to be a part of it and rewarding to see folks pursue their new skills, showing up at local, public jams. (and more)
