Reading all these posts about strings made me realize that it was time to change strings on one of my dobros.
And I have to give the highest recommendation to y’all in regards to D’Addario Auto-Trim Locking Tuning Machines. I purchased them from Beard (along with other parts for doing a total rebuild).
For changing strings they are just incredibly quick, tight, almost instantly stable when changing out strings…..which is something I usually put off. The locking tuners make it so quick and they kill my procrastination.
Kudos to D’Addario.
