Not being much of a writer, please bear with me as I post a bit of an introduction to dsjames…
I’ve been fighting the resonator guitar off and on for many years, starting in the mid 80s . Please note that some of the “offs” have been pretty extended and basically I’m a living room jammer – possibly I can claim to be on the lower end of “intermediate picker” level but some might disagree even with that.
I play a Reed resonator guitar that was ordered in 1987 and received in 1989. I’m pretty sure it’s the last one he built before the fire in his shop.
The forum(s) here on Reso Hangout are very informative and fun to read, I’m lurking regularly and will certainly chime in if at some point I can be of service.
I think the resonator guitar is cooler even than rainbow jello.
