Born is Las Vegas, Rased in L.A. .... what more can I say? I grew up east of L.A. near Pomona and was fortunate to see Frank Zappa and the Mothers of invention and the Southern California music scene blossom and grow. Also a follower of the Grateful Dead having seen them many places. Our group of friends started out doing light shows and then bought some Voice of the Theater cabinets from Frank and started doing sound and sound reinforcement for bands working with just about everyone you could shake a stick at including David Lindley when he started up El Rayo X. Hellavah of a band! Ry Cooder also a favorite and seen him play many times ( show with Duane Eddy is on the short list of the best) Worked one weekend with The Fabulous Thunderbirds and Joe Ely in Hollywood and was invited to visit Austin making up my mind after meeting Stevie Ray Vaughn the first time he played in Los Angeles and moved here in 1984. Met my wife and got married (30 years now we have have a 25 year old son). Have seen a lot of changes here on the Third Coast and miss a lot of the old friends and musicians who have gone on ahead....
