Notes: On my Lap Steel and Duolian copy I play with a slightly raised nut so I can fret behind the bar. In lower positions I can produce minors by fretting the third string behind the bar. Some sevenths can be achieved.

Notes: Just wanted to see if I could figure out a decent arrangement for solo dobro. I ended up using the drop E tuning I stole from Greg Booth (Low to high strings are EBDGBD) - standard GBDGBD except lower the sixth string to E) as it gave me some chords I just couldn't get otherwise. It also gave me a chance to use TuxGuitar to create the tab which was new to me. I've included a PDF and a TuxGuitar file converted to GuitarPro 5 format. I'll post an MP3 of the tune as soon as I get chance to record it.

Notes: this is an Old Camp Song I heard on a Mississippi John Hurt Recording. It utilizes Stride Piano Style Thumb as well as Travis picking where I lose the Melody line. Any of the Stride thumb technique can be syncopated instead of playing on the Quarter Note.

You can "unslide" them to get the right timing - as long as YOU still slide.
